Joomla

Joomla is a Content Management System or CMS. This is a popular CMS which can be used for free. This free technology can it easier for you to add and manage the contents of your website on the Internet. Even though, Joomla is very easy to use, there are still instances when you still have to use the old school way fo typing down HTML codes on some of the contents of your page. It is very fortunate however, that the designers of Joomla have think of this thing already and they made HTML easy to do in Joomla. There are simple steps that you can do to use HTML codes for your Joomla CMS.

Log In

The first thing you must do is log in to your website, created by Joomla. Log in to your Joomla its administrator control panel on your website. The log in screen of your website is usually found in the “yourdomainname.com/administrator/”. You can simply enter your user name and of course the password for your Joomla and click “login” to login.

Article Manager

When you have already log in, you should next go to the article manager. Look for the “Article Manager” button then click it. This is usually the button located at the top row. The article manager is important because this where you will look for an article where you will put the HTML codes.

Select Article

After you have enter the Article Manager, you should then look for the article where you will add the HTML codes. Click the article title so that you can edit it. You can also click the “new” button to create a new page where you will put the HTML code. The “new” button can be seen situated at the top of your screen. These pages are where you will put the HTML codes. This is how important the Article manager is.

HTML Button

on the article composition screen, you will be able to find a text editor. Look for the “HTML” button on this screen and click it. This button is usually located at the middle of the binoculars and brush tools. After locating the button, click it to open the Joomla HTML editor.

Edit HTML

Put your HTML code on the HTML editor. Or you can also copy paste your HTML source on the box provided. After that, you can click the “update” button so that you can apply any changes you have done on your content.

Save

After you have edited your HTML code, you can save your work by clicking the “save” button. This will enable you to save and publish your website.
